Self Defense for women and girls for ages 14 & up
Our Women's Self-Defense teaches practical street self-defense and Girls On Guard system.
Our women's self-defense course focusing on self- defense techniques modified for street and home defense from attackers.
Girls On Guard was developed specificly for women. The techniques are designed based on studies by professional police and safety expects who studied types of situations that are specific to women. After extensive research in actual assault cases, they adapted simple martial arts strikes, kicks, and jiu-jitsu techniques to suit the specific needs of women and girls.
Our courses will teach:
Striking, kicking and blocking fundamentals
Blocking and countering drills
Self-defense techniques against chokes, grabs, bear hugs, and common street attacks
Rape/Ground escape techniques
Practice self defense scenerios
Stress and adrenaline drills
Multiple attacker drills
The skills are simple to learn, easy to remember and highly effective. There are no complex joint locks that take years to master. Instead, students will rely mostly on major muscle groups that still work even when the fight-or-flight reflex is triggered. These seminars are for women of all levels of fitness and there is no upper age limit.

Learn punching, kicking techniques, blocking,
combat drills, self-defense against common attacks.
Indoor mat sessions:
(limited to 8 students due to COVID19)
Mondays - 6:30pm - 7:30p
at Five Animals Kung Fu
Indoor session covers kickboxing, self-defense, ground escape and ground defense techniques.
Tuesdays - 6:30pm - 7:30p
at Merced Manor Reservoir on Sloat Blvd.
Outdoor session covers kickboxing and self-defense.
$299 - 2 sesssions per week for 8 weeks PLUS one free Kung Fu class per week.
$175 - 1 session per week for 8 weeks.
$125 - 5 drop-in classes
Boxing gloves - $35 plus tax
Notes: This is an introduction course to help you get learn basics and self awareness. To become efficient in self-defense, it requires repetitions and consistency with continual training. If you are interested to learn more beyond this course, please contact us to enroll in an ongoing training program.
Due to COVID19 - Face mask is required. Please do not attend if you are feeling sick or have been exposed to COVID19.
