COVID19 Health & Safety

Dear Students & Families of Five Animals Kung Fu Academy

We are currently facing challenging times in fighting the spread of COVID19.  As a follow up to our previous emails, we appreciate your voice and feedbacks supporting our action plans. It is important we work collectively to keep our loved ones and community safe.

For those who wish to keep your kids safe at home during the school closures, we understand and that’s okay. We will continue to offer limited classes to students who wish to practice kung fu. We do know that having a strong immune system & reducing stress are key factors in staying healthy. And we know that for many of our students, training in Kung Fu keeps you strong, healthy & definitely reduces your stress.

In keeping with CDC recommendation about keeping distance from others & smaller gatherings, Five Animals Kung Fu Academy has been working hard to find a best-case solution.

Effective immediately we will temporarily have limited class days and reduce the maximum size of all classes to 10 students only. This means we will need each student to sign up IN ADVANCE for their set schedule of classes.  Due to the smaller class size, we will limit 2 classes per week to allow space for others.

Regular schedule on following days only effective March 16 – April 4,2020.

Tues – 4p – 7:45p (no sparring/kickboxing), No evening Bootcamp

Wed & Thurs - 4pm - 8:15p

Saturdays - 9am – Bootcamp, 10am – 2pm Kung Fu classes

We will adjust our lessons to limit only to kicks, techniques and forms.  We are increasing the spacing between our students on the training mat & temporarily avoiding partner drills. There will be no sparring, partner pad holding or partner drills.  There will be no borrowing of weapons. We will modify our stretching and conditioning to avoid putting our hands on the mat.

And as we have informed you previously, we are taking extra precautionary steps to ensure that the school is safe & clean for our members. We’ve increased cleaning all our restrooms, floors, pads and equipment. And we are asking that all our students, families, instructors & staff wash their hands and use the provided sanitizes before & after class.  Please continue to follow the guidelines from our previous emails.

Stay well and stay safe!
